I’m Liza, a NYC mom Doula CLC & founder of the #HANNAN Facebook Community.
We have started a membership program, to help me with the process of keeping this community parents only. I started this group after hearing a horror story about a mom hiring a nanny who created a fake profile and pretended to be the referral to get hired. I know of several other stories like this from the usual sites people go to. So I decided to create a safe space for parents only. I spend around 8-10 hours a day combing the site and answering questions and I personally approve every post.
When you join it clearly states that if you join as a nanny and are discovered they will be removed with no refund. It has been a labor of love for me for the past 17 months. But as it grows in order to maintain safety, charging a membership fee was the best way to keep the group secure. As a woman and single mother I support other women finding success in all of their endeavors. Thousands of moms from NYC to South Florida have found caregivers. I hope you will too.️

+Why do you offer a one year membership?
We’ve found that people who join to find a nanny or baby nurse, often like to stay, and have found lots of other caregiver referrals including dog sitters, house cleaners, tutors, and even pediatricians! The list is endless. We know moms know best. We also offer one and three month options.
+Why do you charge a fee?
We’ve found the best way to keep the site secure is by having a membership we ask people to give the name on the Facebook account they use to match their payment.
+Can nannies join?
Nope, parents only. We have a strict policy, many of our members join just to find their beloved caregiver a new family. If you are a nanny you can ask your former employer to join and write a referral for you!
